Moving Patients Back Home
Today we are continuing to return patients to southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. As patients are returned to their pre-hurricane locations FEMA will begin to release vehicles to return home. No decisions have been made on the disposition of the Community EMS family of vehicles. At this time we continue to report to the San Antonio emergency command center. We will continue to follow direction from FEMA until we are ordered back home.

After a notice the crews from REMS,CEMS, Healthlink Beaumont,DMC,and CAS whicch we meet in Ohio geared up for what was ous 2 avtivaction for FEMA.
It was a very long and hard drive into Tx but we made it.
We had a little downtime then it was up and out to Beaumont Tx which was a second staging area once we got into Beaumont in was we need you right now so off we went running mission.This deployment was not like the Katrina Rita one because we were in theater before the hurrcaine came in . This deployment was one of alot of driving and no or little sleep we had no shelter to live in we oived in pour rigs,it was truly for those you have never had to live like that a very rough experince.
For the most part we all got along and had a good time. Thank you whoever said I was there hero I do not think of myself as a hero.Just a paramedic doing his job. And we had no time to get tats

We remember running rescue in Newton and Orange in 2005 for Katrina..no signs, everything is numbered and we thanked God we had the foresight to bring our Laptop with satelite GPS on it. TJ and I wish you all the best...be cafeful and keep up the fantastic work. We are so proud of you guys!!
I don't know if you guys are still down there but if you are...it's been a long time. Stay strong. Your doing a job to be proud of. Don't know who is down there with you but I do know Lada is down there with you and if anyone can get you through a tough time he can. Be proud, be tough, be safe, take your down time.
